I thoroughly enjoyed painting David Attenborough in shades of blue, and wanted to continue exploring the same palette and style. From one Great British icon, to another, Bowie was a natural choice, with a distinctive appearance to capture.
A master of invention and reinvention, I admire the sense of escapism he created in his work. I hope to create this feeling in my work by removing subjects from their banal surroundings and placing them in a world of their own; blending reality and imagination
